Best part of the show, I swear, is Louie Anderson. Subtle undertow of funny, he pulls it off. He has got to be channeling his mom and grandma.
It is crap. Try Santa Clarita Diet.
;-) Very very dark and very very funny.
Louie is a genius and a super nice guy who reads Jesus Calling every day. He won his first and only Emmy for that role in Baskets. Not saying he or the show is conservative, but he truly is one of the good guys in show biz.
Well, see ya missed my point. I said light comedy, not very very dark.
Dark comedy can be light. It is very light and very dark. Released a whole season on feb 3rd. It is a Netflix assault on the media. It is quite watchable. Be prepared for ewwwwwww and then hahahahaha.
Right. I never even entered that into my thoughts on this. I have watched some things on him and he seems like a genuinely nice person. Hes had personal struggles with weight. I’d have a beer with him.
I will check it out.
My “darkish” stuff i watch is like The Detour, Unreal, Youre the Worst, Archer, Better call Saul, Casual, Idiotsitter, Love...
OK so as to your original Q.... Schitt’s Creek. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3526078/
Funny as hell and light as a butterfly.
Anderson is the best part. I tried watching it and there was no one to root for. The main character was so unlikable. Bad things happen to him in life but they are all his fault. I understand that the show is being realistic in showing the outcome of his choices but the entire history of fictional narrative shows that people like happy endings for good characters who deserve to live happily ever after.
Who watches that crap?
I tried watching Santa Clara diet. I got tired of every adjective and adverb in every sentence being the f word. And then when they had the detailed argument about how she ate only one of her victim’s testicles, I decided I had enough.
Doesn’t he play a transvestite in that show?
No. He plays a female mom role. The amazing thing is he is really good at it. Its not a transvestite role.
