Unnamed security official, possibly fearing retribution from unnamed American security experts, put his entire reputation on the line to declare publicly (albeit anonymously) and unequivocally the absurdity of such allegations
According to a New York Times columnist, Max Fisher, the deep state is not real, and there would be real consequences for blaming the Trumps administrative problems on the deep state if it does not exist. (What Happens When You Fight a Deep State That Doesnt Exist? March 10, 2017). Unfortunately, there has recently been too much written about shadowy alternative government operatives of a Deep State within the federal bureaucracy in the United States to try now to pretend it does not exist.
And the NY Times is completely unbiased and reliably fair and accurate.
The Deep State is real, it is here, and it is dangerous to the principles upon which America was founded.
The Deep State is the instrument of insurrection and sedition, and it has entrenched itself not for any greater good, but only to subvert and baffle attempts to either dislodge it, or to combat its efforts to delegitimize any political power with which it disagrees.
And the Deep State disagrees with American a LOT. The NYT is merely its house organ.
Just a fake name for bureaucracy. They should be rotated out of current positions every few years, so they can not build a “power” base.
