Yes Let’s screw over people who paid in to unemploument by invading their privacy!!!!
Employers pay for unemployment insurance, not the employees.
As an employer I pay state and federal unemployment tax once a quarter. Not an employee cost or contribution.
IMO anyone receiving government benefits - SSI, unemployment, food stamps, housing, etc. should be receiving ongoing random drug tests. First positive results in two month suspension. Second positive results in denial of benefits for one year.
Whether one likes it or not there is only one person that ultimately pays any and all taxes in this country, the person that works for a wage. Businesses pay no taxes, taxes are a cost of goods sold and factored in to the sale price of the product or service, period. If you want the truth of the matter a retail point of sale tax for all Federal, State, County, and Municipality would simplify everything for all to see.
Ours is a capitalistic society. To work best we need an environment that’s based on risk vs rewards. Make as much as you want (capital), keep as much as you want (savings and investment), spend as much or as little as you choose. With a point of retail sale tax all would see the real cost of government every time you go to the cash register.
No more IRS, no State income taxes, no property taxes (one would finally own their property with no threat of confiscation). No inheritance taxes, no tax lawyers, and most importantly, American goods would ship overseas at a much lower cost (no taxes included in the cost) and demand for American goods goes through the roof.
If you are ever questioned about paying your taxes, show them your Walmart receipt and tell them to go away. If you spend $$ you pay taxes. The individual always will pay their fair share regardless of income, no longer any way to complain, we are all in the same boat. There would finally be truth in taxation. Woe to all politicians!
Pretty much...
