It couldnt have happened to a nicer guy.
This week five-term Rutland, Vermont Mayor Christopher Louras lost his reelection bid after a year-long scandal related to the importation of refugees.
Starting in late 2015, Louras schemed for six months with his states private refugee contractor (the Vermont Refugee Resettlement Program, or VRRP for short) to initiate a refugee resettlement program in his city. He did this without alerting either the citys board of aldermen or the citizens themselves. Only when the deal was sealed did he announce that Rutland would be taking in 100 unvettable Syrian refugees in the fall of 2016.
He sounds like a guy who’s destined to end up at the end of a rope.
This is the sort of thing that a free press is supposed to inform us citizens about. But when the media accepts huge amounts of campaign money from on the take politicians our watch dog becomes an attack dog that ain’t ours.
Good riddance to this corrupt hack.
Maybe he can get a job working for Soros.
This ex Mayor has the skill set Soros looks for...corruption.
Isn’t the question how much money did the “states private refugee contractor (the Vermont Refugee Resettlement Program, or VRRP for short)” receive for resettling these people? And why are they allowed to dump the responsibility of these people’s needs on the taxpayer? The private contractor should be responsible to meet all monetary needs of their refugee project. Take out the profit and they will stop it.
We really should call ‘refugee resettlement’ for what it is, human trafficking for huge profit at the expense of the taxpayer.
Ostracism was used effectively during the Revolutionary War. The people of this community need to make it known to the ex-mayor that he can’t buy food, clothing and energy in this town.
Turn off the water to his house. Plaster lampposts with flyers that anyone who helps this piece of garbage will suffer the same fate. That includes state judges, politicians, bureaucrats and cops.
Does James Simpson know he’s writing for a blog called Canada Free Press?
