While explaining exactly how the Deep State is attacking Trump

Loren DeJonge Schulman describes himself as a “card-carrying former member of America’s vast national security bureaucracy.” (They give cards for that?) He doesn’t like people claiming there is a “Deep State” that’s out to sabotage Donald Trump. He thinks the whole idea of a Deep State is a lurid fantasy that gets people’s hackles up but has no basis in reality.

I found the article very difficult to read, because it was not clear whether some portions were from another article or not.

Of course they’re not going to come out and admit it!

We all know better. And we have all met power bureaucrats.

One example: in my part of the country, central Idaho, I know a NOAA ‘scientist’ who is powerful enough to righteously, and truthfully state, ‘no spoonful of dirt is touched on public lands that he doesn’t first approve the project’. This part of Idaho is mostly Federal lands. So pretty much nothing happens that a NOAA bureaucrap doesn’t have final say so.
