thanks for the link. Interesting.

The problem with being such a control freak is that you have to depend on a lot of people obeying you. And not only obeying you, but being competent and keeping their mouths shut. It just takes one person who is disloyal, incompetent, stupid, or talkative to start unraveling the whole thing.

Oh, that’s easy.

They had their passwords blanked out and were handed to Bill Ayers, stuffed with $100 dollar bills.

I don’t know, but I wouldn’t want a sticky keyboard or mouse used by an Obamanoid.

The Russians hooked up the direct connection wires to a big winch, and reeled them back to Russia.

At night, when no one watched.

Replacing White House computers and all of its comm tech was begun in early 2015, supervised by David Recordon from Facebook. Since the computers and such were years old, it seems certain they were destroyed after extracting their information.

It is just blogger talk that White House computers were somehow replaced on Jan. 1st.

I’m guessing that whatever happens to them they’ll be better off than old House computers of color.

To make extra money Hillary was hired to wipe them ;)

Seriously, I would wager that all kinds of record-keeping laws were broken in the destruction of email and other electronic evidence by the Obama Administration. I would also wager that some Presidential pardons were secretly written and put in safe places for storage in case someone got caught. Just speculating.

That information on those computers belonged to me. I paid for it, and assuming you are a taxpayer, so did you. I would like for one of my representatives with the proper clearance to examine this information. I am sure there is proof of criminal activity.

You wrote:

1. To destroy assets depending on the capitalization limit
2. To destroy data contained on those assets

Note that I wrote, "That is, all hard drives and other storage devices are shredded after going through some procedure to archive documents/data that need to be saved for legal purposes.

After going through the process of archiving and saving what needs to be saved (according to SOP's established by govt. regs.), the actual hard drive itself is not important. In terms of modern security practices, they have long been considered consumables, like paper documents to be shredded.

Those “White House” computers are FEDERAL Property. As such, their total identification data appears on a CACRL and they are inventoried annual by both their supply custodians and their supporting IT specialists.

As inventoried Federal Property their transfer, sale, or disposal are covered by Federal regulations - they aren’t an “XB3” item.. In fact, there are fairly extensive GAO guidance as to how to replace or buy new computers. It takes some serious man hours to justify replacing a single system.

IMHO the Obama White House staff learned a lot from Hillary’s server debacle including how much information remains accessible after files have been “deleted.”

The fastest way to ensure no information “escapes” is to physically take everything with you.

BTW - wouldn’t security want to examine the hard drives, internal and external before the PCs were removed from Federal Property?
