The Beretta APX pistol is making its debut, and it's sure to make inroads with military and police users around the globe. Yes, it is another striker fire type of pistol that Glock spearheaded into the market.
Heres a sneak preview at the Beretta APX pistol, a modular polymer design that is making the competition stand up and notice. The commonalities that everyone needed in a pistol were:
- Reliability and Durability
- Ergonimics
- Trigger
- Modularity
Designed by a gun maker who intimately understands the needs of elite military and police tactical units, the Beretta APX pistol has gone through over a million rounds of live fire testing rigorous trials by military and police firearms experts who know their business has influenced the design and proven the concept. This striker fire operated pistol will be available in a range of popular calibers and is specifically built to reduce felt-recoil and improved sight tracking will ensure experienced shooters get accurate rounds on target quickly; especially when a high volume of fire is needed. See the Beretta APX footage here. what do you all think?, will this Beretta APX outgun Glocks?

Hardly an original design. Looks like they ripped off the slide and trigger from Glock and the frame/grip from the S&W M&P.

The unusual slide "serrations' are a visual turn-off for me, but they might actually be an improvement over the norm... I'll have to pester the local range to get one to rent.
I do like the APX modularity and the option of using or discarding a manual safety, but I have become jaded by all of the striker-fired pistols and am slowly losing interest in them.

I like Beretta shotguns, but prefer Sig Sauer pistols.
Steel is real:
Glocks are a dime a dozen and appeal to the ordinary, Chevrolet mass-consumer market.
I believe, theUS military chose this.

Looks like it might be comfortable - I do like the Walther PPQ, which the frame and grip strongly resemble. Price point right around five bills. Nothing spectacularly new about it, but I’d give it a try.

Glock has the Army, FBI, and I believe ATF contract for years.
I will say their slide is second to none when it comes to finish and durability.

Glocks are a dime a dozen and appeal to the ordinary, Chevrolet mass-consumer market. I'll take a dozen then. And I am a Ford mass-consumer market.

MARSOC adopted the GLOCK 19. Nothing against Sig or Beretta.

All of these designs are difficult to rack the slides when your hands are sweaty.

What are your picks in a “long slide” or longer sight radius then in 9mm?

How does caliber have anything to do with “sight radius”?
