How times have changed...my Mother used to give me a sealed note to take to the druggist, he would give me a securely wrapped package to take to her. One dat I opened one flap of the wrapping, and the box said, “Kotex”. I still didn’t know what it was, or what it was for. I was about 9 or 10 then (circa 1954/55).

Now it’s in kids coloring books!?!?

Times have certainly changed
When I was a little boy - could not have been more then 7 - my father would send me to the corner store to buy him a pack of Salem Cigarettes. 12 cents a pack. He’d give me a quarter and I’d bring back change.

As late as ‘73, the drugstore was still wrapping up those unmentionable boxes.
