Frankly, I could care less about what the liberal idiots on The View think, but since their mouths have gotten them more publicity than they deserve today, here’s the skinny. First off, no, Whoopi Goldberg did not say that Carryn Owens was “trying to get attention” when President Trump gave her an ovation. Fake News. Sorry. But they did totally blow it out both ears in their episode on March 1 by saying he exploited the widow and screwed up the Yemen mission.
The real fake news
No, the raid in Yemen was not a complete failure. No, he did not “exploit” Carryn Owens. But with the left-leaning media in charge of the narrative, you might think that.
The women of the View hate President Trump with a passion. Almost the entire March 1 episode was dedicated to ripping him apart for “exploiting”a Navy Seal’s widow, and claiming that he authorized the mission when Barack Obama nixed it because “he knew that it wasn’t a good plan.”
Whoopi did say, “Was this a tribute or was this damage control?”
The exploitation charge:
Townhall took that charge to task with some tweets from Mary Katharine Hamm. She is editor at large of Hot Air, a contributing editor to Townhall Magazine, senior writer at The Federalist and a CNN contributor.
On the charge that it was all Trump’s fault and Obama knew the mission would fail:
The women of the view are completely ignorant about the way things work with military and the Presidency. They did obviously read a recent New York Times article, and one in Reuters that called the Yemen mission a bust, and blamed the President for it, saying that he signed off the article over dinner. To make sure it sounds like Trump is just a complete idiot, no doubt. But there was this paragraph:
“Mr. Obama did not act because the Pentagon wanted to launch the attack on a moonless night and the next one would come after his term had ended.” New York Times
Oh, wait that paragraph was sandwiched in between a couple of others that blamed Trump and tried to make Obama look like a careful guy who never did anything wrong. It was deliberate and calculated on the part of the NYT. Not very subtle, either.
The President, in turn, blamed the Generals for losing Navy SEAL Owens, which was not a wise thing to do in itself.
The bare fact is, the President does not make military decisions. He doesn’t plan missions. He relies on his military planners for that. The Yemen mission was vetted by the previous administration. They didn’t sign off on it for “operational” reasons (like a dark night- unless it was a setup by the Obama administration to cause grief for Trump, but that would be fake news, right?).

The Women of the View, from Whoopi to Sunny to Joy, will never know the burden of sending our men and women into combat when one or more does not come home. It’s easy for them to sit in ignorant judgment of a President they hate from their fancy studio.
Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool, then open your mouth and remove all doubt.
Besides, Trump did what he should as POTUS in acknowledging what happened. I don’t buy claims to do mind reading.
What about Clintoonie’s gold star, shyster lawyer Muzzie guy? Weren’t he and his wife exploited by Clintoon and the ‘RAT media? They were all over TV for a month although the wife didn’t appear to be very alert most of the time.
Hussein’s people or Hussein himself set up the raid and an obamanoid holdover transmitted the raid details to the target. The only thing “failed” about it was the loss of a man. The ambush was overcome and the data sought was taken.
Two weeks ago they were outraged you would say anything negative about a Gold Star parent.

Nobody with any sense cares what anyone on The View thinks about anything.
