Wealthy Arabs are rushing to sign up for a U.S. program offering investors green cards for cash as they try to beat a crackdown on immigration by President Trump.
Three companies in Dubai offering legal advice on immigration say they have witnessed a spike in demand for U.S. investment visas since Trump's travel ban -- now blocked by the courts -- on citizens from seven Muslim-majority countries.
"We've received a greater number of inquiries and client enrollment since the commencement of the Trump presidency," said Preeya Malik, managing director at Step America, a firm that provides consultancy services on U.S. investor visas. "Investors can see how immigration laws are shifting rapidly and are looking to finalize their options before any new rules take place."
Known as EB-5, the immigration program hands out green cards to foreigners who invest at least $500,000 and create 10 jobs in the U.S. The program caps the number of visas issued annually at 10,000.
Since 2011, nearly 83% of the EB-5 visas issued went to Chinese investors. Less than 2% went to people from the Middle East, according to industry association Invest in the USA...,

Osama was a wealthy Arab. If he had money to invest, would he have received a visa.
10 jobs? Not really. Orlando just financed their new soccer stadium with this visa program. It was going to be owned by the city but the soccer team ended up financing it privately with foreign money. No additional jobs created.
Pre-1990, maybe yes.
I dont think he had made himself notorious yet, and he did have more than enough money.
“American jobs” and “jobs in the United States” is not the same thing. If a corporate CIO from India “creates” a lot of IT jobs that are filled by other people from India, those are “American jobs” in one sense, but not in another sense.
I think it would be very useful for the United States to look at this sort of thing in detail.
Make them denounce islam in public first. Cut their gonads if they backslide.
Who fell for this ploy? That's barely the cost of a single family home in a major metropolitan area anymore.
Exactly. It costs more to give up your passport than to get one.
anyone waiting for those 10 jobs has a very very very long wait....don’t hold breathe!!!!!!!!!
this is just one of the ways dangerous Moslem terrorist gangsters get into USA
they also just walk in
they also come on visitor visas and then just stay forever
they also come on student visas and then just stay
and so forth
we have open borders and enemy fighters and terrorists have no dififculty at all infiltrating USA
Pray that Preident Trump can slam the door SHUT and repatriate, deport the dangeous infiltrators, refugees, immigrants ASAP!
Yeah, 10 jobs in the antiterrorism industry watching them.
EB-5 is a dangerous scam, that sells US citizenship with foreign money launder, and inflates the He’ll out of real estate.
Does anyone not see the problem of selling US citizenship to foreigners from such bastions of freedom and liberty as China and the Middle East?
What Attorney Generals and auditors of this program have found was foreign investors will buy a duplex, triplex, quad apartment, and then lie on about creating 10 jobs by claiming a gardener, janitor, handyman, realtor, property manager, and other assorted maintenance staff, as part of the TEN jobs the EB-5 transaction created.

Virginia governor Terry McAuliffe used this scheme to make millions setting up a phony company with these $500,000 E1 visas.
Make that E5B visas.
Yeah, nobody’s gonna build it, or provide materials and equipment to build it, or pave the parking lot, or paint it, or maintain it, or sell concessions in it, or provide security for it, or anything like that. They’re gonna fly everybody back and forth from outside the country whenever they do anything.
The stadium was going to be built and owned by the city. The soccer team wants to make money on events other than soccer. So they agreed to build and finance with green card freebie investments. Rich Brazilians mostly, apparently.
The jobs were going to be there if the city owned the stadium. No additional jobs from this program in this case.
Just another ruse to spread Islam in the US and to erect a few more sinister mosques.
If 1% of those who bought in using this visa program are terrorists, oh boy is this country in trouble.
