An elementary school teacher in Collier County, Florida was reassigned to administrative duties over a Facebook post during the “Day Without Immigrants” protest last Thursday.
Parkside Elementary School computer lab instructor Veronica Fleming linked to a Chicago Tribune story about the nationwide protest and offered her take on the situation.
“The funny part about immigrants staying home is the rest of us who pay for them are here at work like we’ve always been. Looks like less mouths to feed today. Have fun while you still can. So glad to hear about massive deportation. Let’s make America great again. Thanks Donald Trump!”

Gee, I remember when Zero was pResident. When teachers would sing his praises they were spotlighted and glorified for lifting up the first Black pResident. I guess the Presidency no longer deserves support??? /s

Sounds like an unconstitutional re-assignment to me. The management at that school system could be brought up on charges for infringement of the free speech rights of the teacher.

By the way, the computer lab teacher can probably shed some light for everyone on how “common core” was intended to be a cover for technology data mining. (womb to the tomb data collection on students/family)

Thank goodness we live in a district where students bring in their opening day of hunting season pictures and “Amazing Grace” is played by the HS band at football games. More and more these days, people should be aware of the political atmosphere of where they’re moving.
How do I get the job of sitting around monitoring Facebook posts by public employees? I’m in front of the PC anyway, so I may as well earn a buck.
She was commenting positively on law enforcement doing a good job and our legally elected president - and that’s not acceptable?!?!
Perhaps she should have commented on how much she enjoyed watching rioters breaking things and lighting fires. I’m sure that would have been just fine with our SJW minders.
