Watching gunfights in the movies is very entertaining and fun. Though we know Hollywood is fame for its theatrics and cool gunfight choreographs. There is one actor that does a great job of keeping it real with precision and speed.
For the upcoming movie of John Wick: Chapter 2, actor Keanu Reeves beefed up his training from Taran Butler of Taran Tactical Training. Keanu puts in some trigger time in a fast pace fashion. He dedicated himself to three times a week of practical gunfighting shooting similar to what you see in 3 Gun Nation. Perfection at its finest, for you 3GN fans is Keanu Reeves shooting worthy?, let us know below in the comment. Watch Keanu Reeves in action here.
Maybe. There must be SOMETHING he can do well.
I’ve seen the video,he’s got skills. At least when the targets aren’t shooting back.
Kudos to him for taking his work seriously and being a pro.
The guy can shoot, no doubt.
I saw Keanu do a gun and run on a video about 6 mos ago. He’s not bad. He’s even better in this newest vid.

He should try acting training. I don’t know if it would help but it couldn’t hurt.
Here’s a rare actor who has never said anything about politics. He just puts out movies — some good, some bad — and keeps his mouth shut about everything else. Good for him.
pretty nice.
I disagree with those here that say he’s a bad actor.
Might not pick the best movies to star in, but he was great in Speed, not my cup of tea but he was excellent in The Matrix and though it was an awful script, he was very good in Devil’s Advocate
I watched John Wick a couple of nights ago and I was impressed. The movie is typical action flick with a lot of improbable shooting, but he looked like he knew his stuff. No sweeping the good guys with the muzzle.
A lot of actors wave the pistol in the general direction of a target when they doing a scene. He actually seemed to have the weapon aimed at the squib.
He did have one scene with M-4 that never seemed to run out of ammo.
His acting is definitely a lot better in his more recent movies that it was early in his career. He no longer sounds like a surfer dude when he delivers a line.
I like him.
I knew one of those SFX guys who worked on the “bullet time” effect. Glad he got $1M for it; I scored a “Matrix Effects Team” t-shirt from him.
A friend met him at a golf course when he was shooting Point Break. He was just hanging out drinking a beer and eating lunch. My friend said he was very normal seeming.
I don’t know, he reminds me a little of Clint Eastwood. If he squinted a little, put a little gravel in his voice and had the script writer pare down the dialog, he might be on to something.
You know, it's amazing what regular people can do in action shooting, given training and practice. I see it all the time at the matches I compete in (IDPA, USPSA, Outlaw Steel). Even an old guy like me can get better.
I think he's good at what he does if he is cast in the correct Role. John Wayne would have sucked in Hamlet, and Laurence Olivier would have sucked in Red River. I thought Keanu was out of place in Bram stoker's Dracula; but then most of that cast was. However, I really enjoyed him in John Wick.
Word on the street, from the little people who’ve interacted with him, is that he is a good tipper and treats people well.
That puts him at the pinnacle of Hollywood humanity, IMO.
