But in reality, the operations are meant to send a broader signal that spreads panic and fear in immigrant communities, at workplaces, and in homes, immigrant rights advocates say.

It seems to me that these are illegal alien "rights" advocates, despite their claims to represent immigrants.

This is the time of the year when the IRS publishes scare stories of what happens to people who fudge on their tax returns. Clearly designed to intimidate.

Strangely, I haven’t seen those stories this year. Is it possible the IRS is afraid of what’s in store for them in the next year or so?

They are not immigrants, they are illegal aliens, and they should be fearful as they are criminals.

There was a theory floating a while back that many will self deport. I suspect if the deportation is a bit rough and the illegals are afraid, then maybe some will self deport if for no other reason than making certain families stay together, minimal upset in their acquired US cash and being able to go back to the part of Mexico they wish.
