Pizza Hut is about to go on a hiring spree.

The pizza chain said Thursday it will hire 11,000 new pizza makers, delivery drivers and store managers.

"While we don't have a set deadline, we know we are headed into one of our more busy times of the year and our restaurants across the country are working hard to hire team members that will deliver a quick and reliable pizza experience for pizza lovers nationwide," Kelly McCulloch, Pizza Hut's senior director of human resources, told CNBC.

Not manufacturing, but still jobs.

If a young person gets a job at one of the company owned stores they can move up and eventually get into a management job. The young person could learn practical skills like showing up for work on time, scheduling, budgeting, cash management, inventory control, handling invoices, etc. The liberal arts graduates that I meet have none of these skills and are useless people.

I know that Dominoes will give you your own franchise after X numbers of years as an assistant manager and that Little Cesar’s offers disabled veterans a no-cost franchise.

I stopped eating there when I found out that they use something called “textured vegetable protein” instead of real cheese.

Are they improving the recipes? They’ve got some of the worst pizzas on the market, without improvement there these folks will be unemployed real soon.

Thin that crust out and char it. Then I’ll eat it.

I cannot stand pizza crust and whatever that chemical taste is.

As a child I frequently found myself in trouble because I would scoop the toppings off, leaving...supposedly, perfectly good crust.

I prefer using flat breads to make pizza and will give them a flour tortilla over an open burner effect on side, which will be have all the goodies I like placed on it.

Then I toss into an oven or over a grill and crisp that crust.

That I will eat all night long....
