During his presidential campaign, Donald Trump promised not only to 'build a wall' to seal the southern U.S. border, but to make Mexico pay for it, at a cost of some $10 billion to $38 billion. Mexico on Thursday reiterated it's refusal to foot the bill.
Yet, a market-based immigration policy allowing Central Americans who passed a background check to purchase work visas at market rates (instead of paying thousands to human smugglers) could generate revenues for the federal government in excess of $40 billion, or more than enough to pay for that wall. But here's the best part: With a market-based visa system, President Trump could materially end illegal immigration within a month or two, even without a wall. Here's how it would work.

It’s an act of war with the numbers they have spilled in at, and these people wouldn’t give a flying #### about getting visas, and why should they get so many more? Because they border us?

The wall isn’t just about the illegal invasion by Mexicans. It is about stopping the myriad of illegal acts like drug and human smuggling, and criminals that escape back south, etc.
What about the drug problem? A wall would stop that pretty darn good!
This was an invasion for the purpose of destroying the USA. It went along with the regulating business and taxing them to death to have them flee and bankrupt us. We have been at war with the world order from the inside of the US and we did not even realize what our leaders were doing.
They need to just go and we fix this mess we are in....then rethink how to let SOME in. Do you not find it interesting that this solution came from the MSM controlled by the world order? Leave them here and they are their army in 4 years.

Background checks are bought and sold on the open market. You buy a name, you get a set of background checks .. who’s to know who you really are when you come from a place in South America ..?????
If there’s no Official documentation in America .. no entry, no visa, no job, etc.

The guy’s an idiot. People who hire illegals do so, not because there “isn’t anybody else to do the work” but because there isn’t anybody to do the work at the artificially low wage being paid (and off the books). This is the problem with any form of amnesty or worker visa program. Those who are cheating the system aren’t suddenly going to wake up and stop cheating the system. They are going to find another way to cheat the new system. They aren’t cheating the system because there is no other way, but because it’s profitable, and there are no consequences. Legalize the 11-40 million illegals currently working off the books, and their employers fire them and find new illegals willing to work off the books. All we’ve done is created a whole new class of unemployed people. Start a worker visa program, and the employer who wants to pay off the books just doesn’t advertise jobs through it. Hires illegals who don’t want to pay for the visa. Doesn’t solve a thing.
Ask Colorado how legalizing marijuana impacted the sale of black market marijuana in the state.

Unrealistic. I’ve worked in embassies before. Marry or father a US child, and it is almost automatic. This would tax them for at least 10 years. That ends the fixed marriages too.
You know at some point a few globalists will have to be burned at the stake to get the message across.
Take over mexico, down to the tropic of cancer. Build the wall there. Make it the new American south. All of the illegals still go back to what is left of mexico. Maybe Guatemala will take them in as refugees.
I can't understand why this simple solution is not considered. Remove ALL taxpayer funded freebies and many would self-deport.

We need to stop immigration from poor backwards countries.
They are a net drain on the country.
Immigration should benefit the United States and its citizens or we should stop it entirely.
ALL illegal aliens MUST commit multiple crimes DAILY to continue their illegal presence here.
Document fraud and illegal employment are the tip of the iceberg.
We should not give them the opportunity to harm or kill Americans before being deported.
We need strong enforcement and ALL illegal aliens deported, not just those convicted of crimes here.
