Former oil executive Rex Tillerson’s history of politically damaging oil dealings in the Middle East could jeopardize the future of a united Iraq as he assumes the position of U.S. Secretary of State with the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump on January 20th, pending a Senate confirmation vote.

Under Tillerson’s management in 2011, Exxon Mobil approved oil contracts with Erbil, the capital of the Kurdish Regional Government (KRG), which spans almost 80,000 kilometers in northern Iraq, provided disputed territories are included in the calculations. These lands hold an estimated 45 billion barrels of recoverable oil.

“He expose the Neo Cons flunky Marco Rubio with breaking a sweat”

I watched...he schooled the little brat. When Rubio tried to get him to label Saudi Arabia, he taught him a lesson on foreign affairs and diplomacy...it was a good moment for him...Rubio was done after that; went away pouting!

It’s interesting.

This is an informative article.

Yet unlike the author, I think it shows why Tillerson is a good pick for the position.

Yes, some Dems will vote for Sessions and Tillerson.

And stupid Rubio will also. Some supporter is paying him to be a jerk. It will cost him.

Same Crap with McCain. Somebody paid him to be against Trump.

All the RINOs suck.

I don’t see a problem at all, his dealing with the Iraqi Kurds. They are the best Muslims in the whole region.

The implication is that this is against Hillary/Obama policy.

Who cares?

I agree that this is not a negative to have supported the efforts of the Kurds to develop their part of Iraq. Among the Sunnis, Shias and Kurds, who would you want to work with and keep your head.
