I think Meryl Streep and all of Hollywood need to remember just one thing. Without we the people paying for those movie tickets, their industry will not and can not survive!
If you refuse to watch, yet another, conservative bashing, congratulatory award program showcasing the self-absorbed, ultra rich in Hollywood, then you didnt miss much by not tuning into the Golden Globes. Although it was tough to decide who was the most inappropriate self-centered idiot of the night, the snob award of the evening goes to Meryl Streep. It appears as Ms. Streep along with Hollywood and our government of late, have forgotten their place.
I don’t watch any of that crap.
Since about 40 years ago...
The weakest link in bringing Hollywood down is the obvious incapacity of people who loathe Hollywood to keep from buying its product whether it be G,MA,R, X rated or shown on disk, cable or theater. I turned it all off....well, most of it, well some of it...well, except that little bit of that I like.....
They really live in their own little pulp fiction bubble world.
The only reason most people even know that the Gelded Globes Awards even happened is because of Streep’s comment about Trump being spread across the Internet.
“I turned it all off....well, most of it, well some of it...well, except that little bit of that I like.....”
Have you noticed that every new TV program (and adding into many of the older ones) has to have a gay male or female couple - they seem to lean towards female. Not just a gay person but a gay relationship. It seems to be a committed endeavor even when it’s entirely forced and has NOTHING to do with the show itself.
One I am particularly thinking of is Super Girl. They spent four episodes agonizing over Super Girl’s sister realizing she is gay. First of all, what the F&ck does this have to do with Super Girl? I kept thinking, ok it’s one episode, I’ll overlook it. But they kept it up!
I was REALLY disappointed because I watched (WATCHED -I emphasize)Super Girl for two reasons: 1-Super Hero stuff, and 2- Melissa Benoist was doing a very appealing job of being Super Girl.
Then the gay stuff. It was preachy, it was intrusive, it was OBVIOUSLY there for an agenda, because less than 3% of the population is gay. It basically took over the show for at least four episodes - don’t know what happened after that because I stopped watching a show that, to that point, I was really enjoying.
If you want to make a point about gay rights fine. Don’t do it in a show like Super Girl! That’s NOT WHY PEOPLE WATCH THOSE SHOWS!
YES! Well stated.
I know I won’t see another Hugh Laurie or Meryl Streep movie or T.V. series.
You are SO right. That's how I knew about it. Lol.
Hollyweird is digging its own grave. Aw, what a darn shame. BOO-HOO, wah!
