Ah. German doesn’t have the TH sound.

I wonder how it came to pass that English and arabic have the sound when no one else does?

Well, that is a question you can ask our good Lord when you die.

MY question to Him will be about the knee. WHY such an unstable joint, o Good Father? :o)

"Mine will be ‘Why are there no green mammals?’..."

Looks mammalian enough for me ....

"I thought you preferred them blue..."

Well, if I was in a locker room, I might respond, "Blue, Green, Chartreuse, Orange ... they're all pink ...."

But I'm too young and innocent for that kind of talk ....

Google is not your friend. It is at times a good tool.

Just because some article found by google search says they are 95% muslim does not make it so.

I doubt very seriously that “Google Said” anything.

I don’t like wiki, but here is what they say about Kurds and religion. It is all over the board as far as some Kurd tribes are concerned. See:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kurdish_people#Religion

One thing that is consistent about them, the Turks hate them.

I am sure that the sentiments are reciprocated.
The Kurds want independence but it would mean taking chunks out of Turkey, Iraq, Iran, with smaller parts from Syria, Armenia and Azerbaijan.
And THAT ain't gonna happen. Why would ANY of those nations give up even ONE square meter to the Kurds? They WON'T. Everyone knows that too.

So the Kurdish dilemma remains.
It's been going on every since there have been Kurds. It won't stop in the foreseeable future. Why would it?

I never said that GOOGLE is my friend.
But, yes, its is a good tool at times.

Where do YOU go for the sure-thing information?

When it comes to the faith of a nation, Google, I imagine, gets its information from the country in question. There would be NO reason for Google to lie or fabricate information like that. It simply REPORTS what news agencies and national governments put out.

And, of course, MEDIA never lie...

Mine will be ‘Why are there no green mammals?’..

VERY strange question.

Google: No one knows for sure. Mammals are overwhelmingly earth- colored- - mousy, you could say.
A few sort- of- green mammals do exist:
*Tree sloths turn grayish- green when algae grows on their fur.
**Australia's ringtail opossums have bands of black and yellow on their hair that can look a grizzled olive drab.

Why would I ask a normal question?

More information about the restaurant in Kobani:

Trump Restaurant for Falafel: a Syrian Kurd names restaurant in Kobane after US President-elect

http://aranews.net/2017/01/trump-restaurant-for-falafel-a-syrian-kurd-names-restaurant-in-kobane-after-us-president-elect/

Gives much more information about it. It did not explain the name in Arabic and my friend did not comment about it yet. Was the source of this article for me.
