"It really exists in Kobanî(Syria), the city of legends(Kurds), who fought the daesh(ISIS) against all ods and never gave up"

--

Tough soldiers, men and women, who with only small arms, little food, ammo, medicine fought a desperate battle to hold Kobani and survived. They have a history of such behavior and willingness to shelter others in danger in Iraq and Syria: Yazdi, Christians, etc.

I find it interesting they are on the Trump train too.

Those Arabic letters DO NOT spell "Trump."
The first letter, on the right is an "m."

I believe that the Kurds are spread throughout Turkey, Iraq, Syria, Iran and Armenia. They have their own tribal borders.
Tough hombres the Kurds.

“Tough hombres”

Agree. But from what I’ve seen of them they are good neighbors too.

MOST people, with any brains, are good neighbors.
Who wouldn't want a neighbor to tell you that some kids are stealing your hubcaps, or whatever?

It is from a friend. I like to help them when I can.

Some time ago in discussion it was conveyed that their diet does not vary much since the war. And that many people were to the point of being not that interested in eating. A lot of Kurds are farmers and they are trying to compensate for embargoes and shortages.

My family has farmed since 1889. I feel a link with them on that level. Their climate is very much like Texas. Even their seasons are like ours.

Thanks. It is clear that many outside the US “get it” too.

The second letter from the right is a HARD T.
The third letter from the right is....
The last letter from the right is another M.

Been too many years--I've forgotten.

For them, I believe it is more than that.

They took great personal risk in Iraq and in Syria protecting Christians and other non-Muslim groups.

I think most of the Kurds are Muslim (at some level) but many are not interested in living in 700. Some are openly defiant of the Muslims and Arabs, clinging to older pre-Muslim religion.

95% of Kurds are Muslim. [Google]

They have always been fighters because their group crosses several countries and they do NOT and will NOT "blend" in with anyone else on this planet.

I have no idea why we aren’t hardcore allies with India.
They have the same enemies we have (Pakistan & China & possibly).

Really wish our damn worthless enemy within called the State Dept. would be entirely replaced soon with people who actually want to put our real allies and our nation first.

Did an online translate for Trump, and came up with:

ورقة رابحة

Nouns

   ترامب           trump

   ترمب           trump

   تبز           trump

   البوق           trumpet,horn,bugle,trump,bullhorn,tuba,Hooter

   بوق           horn,trumpet,toot,tuba,mouthpiece,cone,blare

Verbs

   ورقة رابحة           trump

Adjectives

   رابحة           winner,winning,trump,bargain

I am not seeing any of those matching the image:

ترامب = trump

THAT'S Trump's name in Arabic letters! Yay!

There is NO "p" in Arabic, so it actually reads trAmb. That very last letter on the far left is an Arab B. Oh well. Those who are native Arab speakers KNOW who it is.

The Arab alphabet doesn't always translate perfectly to English. Not surprising.

One ODD note: the only TWO languages that have a "TH" sound are Arabic and English.
