Anything 30 caliber or better. Lots of people use smaller calibers, but use the toughest legal expanding bullet you can find.

Lets hear some recommendations for a good hog hunting firearm and ammunition. AR-10 or M-14 with a scope. If less than 100 yards open sights are good. M1-Garand will work also.

A double rifle in 9.3x74r
A bolt or pump gun in 35 Whelen
A lever action in 356 Marlin, 358 Winchester,or 348 Winchester.
I like the medium bores to most hunting.
