I look at “faithless electors” — in EITHER party — as maximum criminals against democracy in the United States, in other words, traitors, guilty of treason.
On the electoral college, no way they get it changed. It would require an amendment, and the amendment would have to be passed by a majority of states. These states, like Iowa, Nebraska, etc, are not going to give up their political clout so Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and Chicago can control national elections. What you will see is a lot of states passing faithless elector laws to require the electors to vote as the state dictates. If liberal states don't pass them, doesn't matter. Make no mistake, though. The individual states are not going to let a travesty like the "Hamilton electors" happen again. They're going to come up with an Aaron Burr solution for that.
Notice how they make the headline seem like it was a vote against Trump when in reality he didn’t vote for Clinton?
If it were to change, then they had better improve the accuracy of our electoral process. Cheating and errors are a serious issue and when the error is 2% and the difference between the candidates is only 1%. The whole recount effort proved this point.
Notice too that Democrats are always fighting attempts to make the process more accurate and fair.
Agreed! The local news discussed this subject a couple of days ago and it had Trumps picture and not Hillary’s. An accident or intentional?
BTW, it is these kinds of things that make me very angry at the news. There are enough instances of it that it makes me believe that it isn’t an accident. Even a dumb person gets lucky and gets it right some of the time.
