Unfortunately, 600 years (or so) after Christ, Mad Mo gave twisted versions of things, including Ishmael as sole heir. I'd say they're rather insane about a lot of stuff.

That being said, that verse from Isaiah shows a nation in severed decline; one could fairly argue it's happening in several countries.

In this case destroy thy paths seems to take on a literal interpretation not intended in the verse.

We could trace back to radicals such as Gloria Steinem who did some pretty ridiculous rants. And the effects that some of that are having on our country.

I might add, Mormons “celebrate” what Eve did. More twisted “theology”. I’ve seen it with my own eyes on TV as four “Mormon scholars” discussed this and nodded with approving heads.

Small wonder Joseph Smith said he would become a second Mohammed in warfare if necessary.
