I would like to meet General Mattis, given that Patton died over 15 years before I was born. No, Mattis didn’t lead half a million men against the Krauts, going through them like crap through a goose, but he did the next best thing by leading a division of Marines in going through the Iraqis in the same manner.
They are definitely cut from the same cloth, and we are truly privileged to have a man in Trump who both recognizes and values this type of person to run our entire military. This will, I am confident, lead to 8 years of peace, and probably more since Mattis will help create a military (including its leadership) that will be 2nd to none for a long time after he leaves the DoD.
Praying for their safety.
