We need a new Battleship—The Trump Class—smaller—more like a heavy cruiser, armed with Rail guns, rockets, AA systems as well as 8 inch cannons—in a rapid fire systems. Name them after Native American Tribes (like Civil war Monitors) First one The USS Mohawk (a new york tribe) —Lots of automatic systems so a smaller crew could be used. It should be an armored monster to reflect the new USN. We should also have smaller—destroyer sized— Drone Carriers for the drones to fight the naval ears of the 21st Century —And subs, lots of quite, deep diver subs—Hunter killers with all the electronic gear we can fit on them. First one the USS Hunley.

I love your idea of bringing back Indian names like the USN used during the War Between the States. They had a certain ring to them that has never been duplicated.

Nah ! USS Hunley gets the 2nd build, first build is the USS Turtle. First American submarine in combat! Built by a Connecticut inventor named Bushnell. Tried but failed to sink a British ship in the Revolution. It also successfully brought the crew (crew of 1 !) back!
