Indoctrinating the Young in Hate Factories
Canada Free Press ^ | 12/03/16 | Ray DiLorenzo

Posted on 12/03/2016 5:00:37 PM PST by Sean_Anthony

Our education system has created a multitude of young, inexperienced, poorly educated, indoctrinated minds, speaking as with authority…scary!

If you want to learn to hate America, your nearest public school or college is waiting for you. If it is a university you want to attend, don’t worry about the cost, the government (taxpayers) will pick up the tab as student loans are about to be forgiven to the tune of $108 billion and will probably go much higher.

Our schools across the country have created and nurtured millions of godless, America-hating, angry, statist, whiny, cry babies and we will all be paying dearly for it, now and in the future.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

If "they" were to have control wrested from them the effects would take at least two generations to dissipate. And that is if there were a well of competent teachers in to take over from the propagandists and commissars. There is not. It would take generations to train up such a group.

The teachers' colleges are all lost to the Left and the precursor schools also. There is no longer the time and there are no teachers to train the teachers.

We are effectively living in a bureaucratic dictatorship that always favors the Communists/Progressives because they control the bureaucracy through Civil Service. We can wrest a hiatus from the system now and then, pare back the regulation and the taxes and get a few years of prosperity but the leviathan does not go away. When a leftist is at the top the Leviathan roars and all the land is shaken. When a conservative is at the top he must try to gain control against all other parts of the government. A very strong man can do it, a Reagan or, one hopes, a Trump but he cannot change the system, only starve it a bit and make it hunker down for a while.

And what if we do get a titan who eviscerates the beast? There is no foundation left. He is a Dictator. He has to be to kill Leviathan. But then what dictator in history who came to power to right a capsized ship then left when that job was done? .

Respectfully submit that you may be at least partially mistaken. My wife and daughter are conservative, Christian teachers chafing under the constraints of common core and PC. They giggled their way through ed school to get the certification and make a living. There are many more like them. We read about the most egregious cases of liberal indoctrination, but there are thousands of good teachers out there who ignore the "guidelines" and teach the truth when nobody is listening. They will be ready for duty when President Trump nukes the federal restraints on good education. Probably won't happen right away in the big cities, but the rural areas are yearning for freedom.

Indeed!

Nearly every teacher in this nation ( both private and government) was trained by godless Marxists in Marxist run colleges and universities. This is true on every level from pre-K through university graduate school.

Yet....Few conservatives even see or understand the problem or feel and urgency about it.

As you know I have been on Free Republic for years warning others, but I see little progress. One of the most exasperating comments I see is, “ Shut down the Department of Education”. The problem is so much bigger than that.

One of the problems with Christians teaching in the godless schools is that they inadvertently teach the following:

1) If Christians teachers sneak in “truth” then they are teaching children that Christians are sneaky.

2) Christians are law breakers since the law demands a godless worldview in the government schools.

3) Christians are wimpy, lukewarm, and generic since they fail to boldly witness their faith.

4) Christians are hypocrites since they are establishing and promoting a godless worldview in direct opposition to their faith's beliefs. They do it for money.

So?.....Are real missionaries going to have an easier time of it or harder when these student reach adulthood when their exposure to Christianity has been with wimpy,l law breaking, ukewarm, and sneaky hypocrites?

You get it.

The real problem is that the Marxoleft controls the culture: schools, the media, entertainment, and the arts.

I look at the Department of Education as effect, not cause.

By the time it was created, the battle was over.

Ok...So get the kids out of the government schools. It may help some....but...remember!

Nearly every teacher in this nation was trained by godless Marxists. This is true for private schools, too! Even if the school is “conservative” that training will leak through into the classroom.

By the way, my daughter taught at Catholic school. She was the **only** teacher who did not vote for Obama. Her class was the **only** class that had regular lessons and did not tune into Obama’s inauguration. This was a **Catholic** school and Obama is the man who voted three times to support the killing of infants who survived abortion by letting them freeze to death in the bottom of a cold hospital utility room sink.

Private school? .....BEWARE!

Yep! You get it.

You are one of the very few Freepers who do. So....If so few Freepers “get it” what about the general population?

It is very discouraging.

I have many (younger) friends who home school.

Honestly, some of their motivation is to keep them out of the public schools around here that have large Black populations.
There are many religious and private schools here that have their beginnings from the era of forced integration. This area has a city (Mobile) population of about 50% Black and a county population of about 35% Black.

Many of the public schools here are dominated by 'rough' Black culture and AA teachers.

Universal academic education through Grade 12 is a delusion, but not only is it extremely prevalent, it's metastasizing to include universal COLLEGE education.

What must happen is vouchering free public education through eighth (or better, sixth) grade, with public scholarships for high school contingent on an exam and sustained, annual, academic success.

Abolition of college loans is also critical, or, if they must continue, make the colleges cosign each loan and make the loans dischargeable in bankruptcy for the student but not the college.

I'm not against liberal arts per se - I majored in English and I have found it invaluable during my career as a doctor. However, it needs to be made clear that liberal arts classes are NON-VOCATIONAL - that they are for personal improvement only, and that if one does not have a plan for after graduation, majoring in English isn't a plan.

And, of course, my plan does not address the 30% of current public school inmates who are ineducable pre-criminals or pre-welfare people. I have no idea what to do about them, other than getting them the hell away from educable students.

NO TEACHER at my wife's private (owned by parents not by dioceses or parishes) Catholic 5-12 school voted for Obozo or for the Arkansas Medusa. The school is relatively small, struggles financially from year to year but survives year after year because of the excellence of the education, the mandatory morality and moral education.

The regular parochial schools are fading fast. When parents realize how fast, they bring their kids to our school. Using the old Iowa tests to gauge where the kids are at academically (my wife administers those tests, student by student) it is shocking how bad even parochial schools have become, even "nice" parochial schools in "nice parshes. The diocesan superintendent of schools is a former gummint skewel administrator who is rapidly degenerating the diocesan schools to gummint skewel depths.

Watch the heathen Kenyan's inauguration? Not at our school! The only gathering of students allowed to date was for the solemn funeral Mass for Pope St. John Paul II and the formalities of Pope Benedict XVI becoming pope. If we allow the kids to see the funeral of Comrade Frankie the Apostate, it will be to assure the kids that this nightmare is finally over. On such matters, I speak only for myself.

There are many more private Catholic academies than you may suspect, similar to ours, with similar and quite conservative curricula. I understand that you are not Catholic but you don't have to be Catholic to respect the work of private (non-diocesan) Catholic academies just as we admire (and use some texts) the many fine Christian academies that do not share our faith but do a terrific job of educating young Christian ladies and gentlemen. Likewise the ever increasing army of homeschoolers.

This war will not be easy but we are all in it together in service to our Savior and to the children has placed in our care.

By the way, my wife's teaching "credentials" are her degree in English Literature from Yale University. No "teaching certificate" needed or wanted. If you can teach, you can teach. If not, not.

Did my wife have godless Marxists as many of her teachers? Absolutely! Did they influence her thinking? Only to flee from Marxism and to understand it so that she can fight it. She arrived at Yale as a Marxist radical (thanks to her Westchester County, NY, gummint misedjamakashun) but, thanks to the sizeable number of Yale students who are actually quite conservative (believe it or not), she had become a libertarian conservative by the end of freshman year and a traditional Catholic conservative by graduation. Many but not all Yalie conservatives are Catholic by infant baptism or by conversion but there are also many who are Bible Christians of one sort or another.

A university like Yale has a treasure trove of permanent assets that lesser institutions lack. Want to research the monstrosity that was Margaret Sanger? Her correspondence an personal papers are available to the Yalies at a special library all their own. Quite eye-opening. The pro-life Yalies (and there are more than you may imagine) can settle arguments about Margaret Sanger and Planned Barrenhood by taking their friends to read her evil in her own handwriting.

The libraries Sterling Memorial, Sterling Law Library, and many others such as the Beinicke Rare Book Library which has The Vinland Map, the museums of art, scientific laboratories and research facilities that have few competitors in the world. Yale is no longer a Christian university (founded like Harvard to educate Congregationalist clergy to convert the savages to Christianity).

The civilization that godless professors are trying to destroy is OUR Christian civilization. An early distinguished figure at Yale was a young man who, nearly three hundred years ago, graduated Yale at 14 years of age and became Dean of Yale College (the highest academic position at Yale then and now at 21), left Yale when his Congregationalist pastor grandfather died at North Adams, Massachusetts, leaving his congregation without a pastor. The Rev. Mr. Jonathan Edwards left academia, stepped up to replace his grandfather and had a distinguished career as a pastor. He was one of three major national leaders of The First Great Revival, red hot preaching (Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God) and was much later President of Princeton.

When I lived in Connecticut, I was a Republican Town Committee Chairman and I attended a state GOP convention and met another Town Committee Chairman from an adjacent town whose nme was Jonathan Edwards VI. I was never a stuffy Republican and noticing the obviously expensive nature of his clothing and that he came from an upper class town not like my own, I decided to pick a fight. I walked over to him as we awaited our credentials as delegates, and asked "Gee, the 6th? Nobody in my family was ever called the 6th. Are you an heir to a European crown or are you related to the great pastor ad educator?" He replied: "Jonathan Edwards was my GGGGrandfather. We are proud of that." "What do you do for a living?" I work for a Yale-endowed foundation collecting and editing my ancestor's writings and sermons. What do you do?" "I am an attorney largely involved in representing arrested and often brutalized pro-lifers (figuring from his evident wealth that he was a social liberal who might be offended)." He asked: "Is that Operation Rescue?" "No, but it is essentially the same." He then told me he had given $3000 to Operation Rescue the previous year. End of arguement and beginning of my respect for him.

Only one remaining question for me to him. The Congregational Church in Connecticut generally has few abiding principles nowadays, is second only to "Catholicism" in Connecticut and is a bastion of support for abortion and Planned Barrenhood.

"You aren't STILL a Congregationalist, are you?" He brightened right up and said that, having been a delegate to a Congregationalist state convention of some sort and learned just how radically anti-Christian the church's leadership was, he had made a great show of publicly leaving it and becoming a verrrrrry conservative and verrrry pro-life Presbyterian. Delightful fellow and seemingly a worthy descendant of his distinguished ancestor. If I had not been an antagonistic part Irishman looking for a fight, I would never have known.

Sorry for rambling on as ever but I thought you might enjoy this

Smaller schools give parents more 'say'... push for small neighborhood schools. That will stop a lot of the 'worst of the worst'...
