The Homeland Security job is still open. Rudy could fit in nicely. he was a ROCK for NYC after 9/11 and made what many considered an “ungovernable” city, quite governable.
Sec of State has to know what ambassadors are like because he has to deal with them. The State Dept is notorious for eating people alive
