Decades before Black Lives Matter, Ellison was a very prominent defender of cop killers associating with Sharif Willis after the murder of a Minneapolis police officer. Willis was with the Vice Lords, a black Muslim gang and one of the largest in the country. He participated in demonstrations on behalf of the Vice Lords and attended a national gang confab. In 2000, he called for the release of Kathleen Soliah of the Symbionese Liberation Army and heaped praise on Mumia Abu-Jamal and Assata Shakur- two notorious cop killers.

MINNEAPOLIS — One night last September, Minneapolis traffic cop Jerome Haaf, 53, sat completing some paperwork and reading a newspaper at the Pizza Shack, a well-known police hangout in the south part of town. About 1:45 a.m, two men entered the restaurant and shot Haaf in the back. He died a few hours later.
Beginning as early as today, prosecutors will present a case charging that Haaf was assassinated by members of the Vice Lords street gang in an act of retribution against police in general.

The funny thing is that they excuse radical islamic practices and vilify the KKK who haven’t killed anyone in how many years now? Not sticking up for the vile KKK- but it is the height of hypocrisy for the left to try to tear down anyone on the right by trying to link them to the KKK when the left proudly support the murderous cult of radical islam- Remind us how many people have been murdered in cold blood by islamics compared to KKK members again? Ellison has embraced radical islam- but yet he’s the left’s darling?
