High fence deer farming is a whole lot different then public land hunting.

You are selling big antlers many people still hunt to fill the freezer and the fun of hunting, antlers are only secondary.

Both have their place for me eating venison and the fun of hunting is more important then worrying about hanging another set of antlers on the wall.

No high-fence and all we maintain is pastures and water and here in TX public land is almost non existent. When somebody wants to just fill the freezer we have that available also since our culling program may include taking 200 to 300 does in some years, plus we have reduced prices for cull bucks. Getting a lease on private land is expensive and most won’t produce the mature bucks we have. We do it cheaper than a 1 section lease and they have a nice place to stay and plenty to eat and drink plus the can fish if they want to. We also have a large population of Aoudad sheep that hang around the mountains. A 30 inch ram will bring 5000 dollars and we have a waiting list for them,
