Cronyism in Space?
Canada Free Press ^ | 11/24/16 | Megan Barth

Make no mistake and don’t be fooled by her rhetoric, Garver is a committed liberal who will bring NASA towards cronyism and liberal policies.

“One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind” was the phrase that defined a historic event—a global, scientific breakthrough which defined American ingenuity and exceptionalism. A generation of innovators, explorers, and scientists were inspired by this new world which had opened because of the ingenuity and talent responsible for completing NASA’s core mission: deep space exploration, aeronautics and science.

However, deep space exploration of this new world has not been fully funded by the Obama Administration as funds for these programs have been slashed and diverted to the Earth Science Mission Directorate.

Really poorly written article. Says Musk got 4.9M in subsidies when surely he must have gotten 4.9B.

More importantly the author never explains the point of the article. Is there some reason we need to “make no mistake” about Garver’s loyalties? Is there someone (Trump??) who is in danger of being fooled by her and appointing or reappointing her to some post? If so why not just say that instead of assuming we already know it.

Does anyone believe Trump will let slide any incompetence which would reflect upon his judgement? Believe he will keep informed of any deviations and correct course when needed.

The author should do better research of NASA, or any others whom developed a rocket based space launch capability. Every one of them have a similar history of boom, crash, and thud when attempting something new.
