I would say that the Democratic Party has lost it’s focus on who they represented. After they dumped the regular working class guy about a decade ago....they just assumed that they’d keep coming back. At this junction now....they have to worry that so much emphasis will be put on Latinos....that even blacks will figure out the gimmick and start voting Republican.

The last and most constructive thing the democrats must continue to do is to convince themselves that they are somehow brighter and more cleverly adept than those dim uneducated bigots that create the machines that pave the roads, design the cars that run on them, machine and build the pumps, pipe and bits that drill for and find the oil that runs the cars that use the roads.

What can be more persuasive? An eight year PHD in gender studies contributes more to civilization than a two year course in welding, or civil engineering, or 12 years in astrophysics.

Oh, and keep screeching that anyone who votes against dictatorship of the "educated" is voting against their own self interest. Very convincing.
