Except Tony Snow went the other way.
The reason Ingraham WON’T take the WH Press Secretary job is family separation. She is a single mother to 3 young adopted children. If she accepts the job, she would hardly get to spend time with them.
The WH Press Secretary job is a 60+ hour/week job and also requires you travel with the President when he travels. She would have hardly anytime to spend with her young children.
If she was offered and accepted the WH Press Secretary job, it would likely have to have some conditions. Like limiting the hours she works, having a second traveling WH Press Secretary to handle the Press duties while the President is on the road so she doesn’t have to be away from her kids for days at a time (she lives in DC area). Could also have arrangements for her kids to be there with her at work.
Like others have said, she has an estimated $45 million net worth, so she could afford to walk away from her radio show. She also owns and operates an online news media company, LifeZette. She could either put that in trust and have someone she trusts run Lifezette while she is away and take over managing it when her White House gig ended or she could sell it off. She could legally not continue to run and operate her business while she works for the White House.
Who wants to deal with retarded media everyday?
Milo yianoupulous from Breitbart. :-)
My wife heard this and said: “Expect to see more media tears if that is the case....”
Ann Coulter would be interesting, too. A bit brash, but she knows how to put the media in its place. That is sorely needed because they continue to deny they lost this election.
My daughter-in-law the attorney is on the list as a candidate for a judgeship. But, same deal; it would mean a big pay cut.
