They don’t issue receipts because it is illegal. It is illegal because democrats used to pay people to vote a certain way, and would use receipts as the verification.
There is no way for a voter to walk out of a precinct with any record of what they voted, that way you can’t be bribed. I mean, people can offer you money, but you can take it and still vote any way you want.
My big problem with absentee balloting is that it allows corrupt people to pay for votes and be sure they are getting what they paid for.
