HOUSTON, TX - Many restaurants are having fun this election season with Trump and Clinton-themed foods but one Texas eatery is being anything but subtle about its choice for president.
On Thursday, Bellville Cafélocated in Bellville, Texas about 60 miles from Houstonofficially changed its name to Trump Café in honor of the businessman-turned-GOP presidential hopeful.
He loves America and we hope he will be president, the cafés co-owner Su Hawa told The Houston Chronicle. People like the name, theyre supporting him.
Before the name change, Belvillle Café served modern takes on casual French fare but the new menu features only American, Trump-themed foods. There's a burger topped with cheese, bacon, and barbecue sauce and a chicken fried steak.
Hawa and her husband Eddie arent just fair weather fans of The Donald, either. The couple told the Chronicle that whether Trump wins or loses, they plan on keeping the Trump Cafe name after the election.
Historically, Bellville has been a red town but not everyone is thrilled with the cafés new alias...

If I lived in TX, I’d be driving to the Trump Cafe to eat in a nano second.
Hooray, and why not? Ya gotta eat!
Texas is a big state. You don’t go anywhere in a nano second. From where I live in Texas, I can go to several different state in less time than I can get to Houston. But thanks for the support.
An hour from me, I’ll have to check it out.
Interesting fact about how big Texas is: Dalhart, a town located in the Panhandle (northwest of Amarillo), is actually closer driving distance to six other state capitals than it is to Austin. It is 570 miles from Austin, 261 miles from Santa Fe, 313 miles from Oklahoma City, 348 miles from Denver, 448 miles from Cheyenne, 461 miles from Topeka, and 544 miles from Lincoln.
Will visit soon
Lots of jokes about how big Texas is. All true.
I see the liberals are out punishing them for their choice...

Then there is the Texarkana-El Paso run.
Just a few hours;)
We have friends in Bellville. I’m going to tell him and his wife about this. Bellville would be a nice day trip for us. I’ll let you know if we make it over there........;)

Oh, please do go, and report back on your “yuge” adventure.
My friend posted on FB about this very thing. I hope we can go one day and it will be YUGE.....I just know it......lol
I heard the Hillary Cafe is a trash can out back...
Hop, skip and a jump.
BIG ones!
Texas is bigger than France.
This is the Beltway 8 (Harris County Toll Road), overlaid on several different cities.

The inner loop is “Loop 610”.
There’s another loop, or really 3/4s circle (Hwy 6 / FM 1960).
The 4th loop is being constructed, and it’s called the Grand Parkway.
Thanks for the link. It is interesting.
I live by the stadium, off Buffalo Speedway, and work up at Greenspoint.
It is quite a commute.
Menu does contain lots of comfort foods. Just ordered tomato basil soup and a hamburger steak.
I read many of the Yelp reviews and the ones critical of the Cafe are junk. My server is black, other servers are black and an older “waitress that you see in every small town in Texas.
Tomato basil just arrive d, looks as does smells great. Looks home made.
Of to eat.
That’s fantastic! I’m so jealous....;).......have a great meal and thanks for letting us know.
