We are voting Nov. 8 (or earlier) for a slate of electors. The electors meet in December to elect the next POTUS and VP, and each can vote for whomever they wish who meets the constitutional requirements, as long as the POTUS and VP they choose aren’t both from the elector’s own state. So the DNC could conceivably designate who the up-to-date nominees are, and most electors would doubtless be loyal to their party.

Yeah, if the Dems want a revolution and or civil war.
Right.
And remember, Congress has to accept and certify Electoral College votes. Anything too strange, and they could reject EVs and pick the president themselves.
Too many people don’t understand that certain procedures will be followed because the states and Congress have *power*, not because they have some fidelity to the Founders’ vision.
