Students Mimic Trump Slogan on Student Council Shirts

WYNNE,Ark.-- (Via KARK) When the 2016 election is over, the phrase "Make America Great Again" will be one of the things we remember most.

One Arkansas School is raising some eyebrows for its turn on the slogan.

The Wynne High School student council had shirts made saying, " Make Wynne Great Again" on the back.

Some parents are not comfortable with the shirts using a play on Donald Trump's campaign slogan and want them removed.

Other parents say it is no big deal.

"I don't know what reason why they would want to pick that as a slogan because it is what it is," Tremmel Marshall said. "It doesn't offend me because I know where we're at and I know what's going on."

School administrators say students chose the slogan over the summer.

They are leaving the decision on whether to keep the shirts up to the student council.

I noticed several student council candidates at my daughter’s middle school had “Make PHMS Great Again” on their posters. I thought they were all potentially great candidates. Was less impressed by the poster that declared their candidate was suitable because “Knoledge is Power!”

Some parents want them removed because they refer to Donald Trumps campaign slogan. Freedom of speech is turning into fascism real quick. We need a total cleansing.

> because “Knoledge is Power!”

Sounds like they should be candidates for the NOS... you know, the National Onner Society.

Does anyone remember the black panther cubs that walked into a room with combat boots, black t-shirts and camis and pledging allegiance
