Very interesting commentary on the polls.
There are 4 polls showing Trump up. So what was the purpose of the ABC poll showing Hillary up 12 points. The purpose is to lower the RCP average. If they did not do that it would show Trump surging.
If the polls are properly weighted, Trump would be up 6-8 points currently.
When Reagan ran he was up 10 pts going into the election and he won 44 states. For Hillary to be up 12 points she would be winning all 50 states. Not possible.

People who start fights at rallies and bus in illegal voters aren’t going to bat an eye at faking poll data. In fact it’s a lot easier and cheaper.

In order to be winning all 50 states, wouldn’t she would have to be up by something like 15 to 20 points ? Couldn’t get the link to work. Maybe it is one of the points discussed.

I used to love the RCP site, but they have had Texas in the undecided column. Total BS. If Texas is undecided, then Clinton will have a 49 state sweep.

RR was behind 45-39 during the month of October, 1980 and stayed there until 3 days before the election.
Then and only then, did RR go up by 3 points and he won 51-41 with anderson getting 7 points. Get your facts correct.
They seem to think that doctoring the polls will demoralize Trump supporters and suppress their voting - more likely to make Hillary fans believe it’s in the bag and allow them to rationalize (I know - it’s an oxymoron to use “rationalize” with her fans) why they can kick back and enjoy the fruits of their EBT cards by splurging on malt liquor...
Well, it's not impossible, either. I can't stand constant repetition of polls to manage people's anxiety about this election.
If Hillary wins all 50 states, at least you will know what sort of a place you are living in, and can reach some rational conclusions with regard to what you want done about it.
Myself, I'm looking forward to a Trump landslide, but I have to admit I don't have a lot of data to support that wish.

I’ve never understood the fascination with RCP - averages of polls that are sometimes weeks old don’t give an accurate picture of what’s happening now, and give too much influence to wild outlier polls - I think the Texas business is because of one poll that oversampled college grads - pro Clinton - by about fifty percent - she’s not close in Texas, or she’d be campaigning there right now.....
