Failsafe 1964 was on TCM tonight, just in time for the latest installment of HRC continuing her relentless quest for power, even at the risk of the lives of millions. President Henry Fonda tries to avert thermonuclear retaliation after the Russians themselves precipitate the destruction of Moscow by interfering with NORAD's communications with bombers continually in the air on high alert. Pres. Fonda sacrificially bombs NYC while his wife is visiting, to try to avert a general Russian counter strike.
9-11 was fundamentally different from November 22, 1963 or December 7, 1941. America was then in its ascent or at its height, more easily able to recover from the shock of sudden, unanticipated attack. 9-11 evoked a long-term group depression even on the west coast that portends a perhaps unrecoverable decline in our nation's wellbeing.
If Isis fulfills its dream to provoke Armageddon start in with detonating a WMD in Manhattan, it could precipitate the predicted breakup of the country into central and left-coast, separate nations. How can the rest of the country, which is opposed to backpedaling the threat of Islamic extremism, insulate itself from NY-DC reaping the punishment for its own perfidy? There has been virtually no anti-Islamic backlash here, though Progressives would like to take credit for it even while using the issue as a pretext for locking in control using social & economic destabilization as a lever.
It's time to wish NYC the best of luck and batten down our own hatches.
Leave now.
I used to take the bus in every day through the Lincoln or the PATH through Harrison. Most of the passengers looked like ISIS recruits. I would just say a prayer each day that I got to work and then home safely. We’re really all just sitting ducks in some situations. Sad what has happened to this country.
“Leave now.” Good idea.
Son lives on Long Island and I’m hoping he has some kind
of contingency plan to get back this way. I sent him one
of those individual portable water filters that will filter
any kind of nasty water for emergencies. He lived in NYC for
a while. :o(
Dude,
The first thing they will do is shut down the tunnels and bridges.
There will be no way out and, yes, they will absolutely “quarantine” you within the city.
You stay, it’s your own bad decision.
A small island stacked with 80 floors of people who wouldn’t piss on your head if it were on fire is a bad place to be and think you owe them and that you are there to serve them.
Now and in the event of collapse.
Back in the 90s I went through NJ, Newark, PATH to Jersey City.
It was Islamofascistland even back then.
Can’t recall the number of times I wished I had a subcompact in my backpack in case we broke down somewhere along the line.
Be sure to tell him that if he waits until there is a situation, he will never get out.
The roads will be blocked for miles and miles.
His contingency plan should be to move out to a more rural area now and to have a bug out location even farther away in the event of a situation.
I’m sure many people look at the eastern portion of Long Island and think that is a safe haven because it is less densely populated. But the animals in the boros know that is where the “good stuff” is and that is where they will go immediately in the event of a situation. Imagine 500,000 thugs flushing through Long Island until they hit the furthest point.
Given the STD bacteria frappe that constitutes NYC inhabitants, I’d rather take my chances with the fire and not have them piss on me to put it out.
LOL
Too many people in too small a space. Learn how to swim across the Hudson or get access to a boat or helicopter. New York City, especially Manhattan, might just be the most artificial place on earth, and unless you take steps to get past the false sense of reality that encourages, you’re in for some unpleasant surprises.
There are bunkers in the Brooklyn bridge. The trick is getting access to them.
HRC would gladly sacrifice Bill and a couple million Americans to save her own ass. No different than soviet and Chinese leaders. Save the government (i.e. us) no matter how many citizens are killed. She would load them in the power plants to provide power to her friends (ref THE LAST SHIP)
There will be no way out and, yes, they will absolutely quarantine you within the city...
Straight out of "The Stand" by Stephen King.
Son is almost 51 and has a totally almost “fatalistic”
approach to life. He’s a pastor. The last hurricane they
had on Long Island, he advised all the people with young
children to evacuate. He, OTOH, decided to ride out the
storm because the first one they’d had was such a big
nothing. - Well, his car got flooded, also his basement and
everything in it floated on down the beach. He and his
little dog rode it out, but the winds and flooding were
rough. - He later advised young families to move somewhere
else because a lot of their homes were total losses. He
always seems to be where the disasters hit. An earthquake
in California. . then a block away from the Twin Towers
in NYC when they were hit. (His job left him assigned to
work in the morgue from that disaster.)
In his thirties he rode in one of those planes that fly
directly into the eye of a hurricane. - He also hired
some guides when he was in Egypt to take him (on horseback)
to the pyramids, and they turned out to be terrorists.
They told him that they “could just kill you & bury your
body in the sand and no one would know”. He had studied
theology at Oxford University (Oriel) and was able to
discuss “Islam” with them knowledgably, so they liked him
and didn’t kill him. (I’m sure if I knew everything he had
gotten into, I would flip out; but I do tell him flatly
when I don’t like something he says or does.) He is dark
skinned and has grown a beard which makes airports sort of
difficult for him sometimes.
Bunkers? Really?
