Latinos For Trump Rally

HOUSTON -- Houston's streets got a little hotter today as the Houston Latino Trump Coalition came out to support their candidate.

"He's the only choice we have." Julio Torres responded as he waved his Latinos For Trump sign at passing cars.

"He's going to give us progress, he's going to give us opportunities, he's going to end all the race-baiting, and he's going to end all of the poverty in our neighborhoods. He's going to do a lot better for us than Hilary Clinton will."

Needless to say, this did not sit well with some members of the Latino community including Ximena Magana who came to voice her opposition.

"I came because I am a dreamer." said Magana as she waved a "Build Bridges Not Walls" sign.

"I am a woman, I am Hispanic and I'm not going to tolerate anyone who is attacking my community. And anyone who is attacking other communities here in the Houston area. We are here, we are hard working, we are dedicated and we are giving back to the community."

As for the statement that he made about women that threatens to derail his campaign efforts, well the impact depends on who you ask.

"The video that just came out, with the way he treats women and the way he talks about women is very disheartening. As a woman myself, I think that it's disgusting to think that someone who is running for an elected office doesn't hold himself to any morals."

In contrast, Trump supporter and fellow Latina, Hope Cruz does not feel so strongly.

"I have thick skin, it is what it is. We're all guilty of getting together with a friend and saying things. And uh someone sold him out."

LET'S JUST HOPE BOTH SIDES CAN MANAGE TO GRAB HOLD OF THEIR EMOTIONS THE CLOSER WE GET TO ELECTION DAY.

"I am a woman, I am Hispanic and I'm not going to tolerate anyone who is attacking my community.

Her community? That's her problem. She's segregated herself. She doesn't feel any allegiance to the United States. The United States is for her to use 'cause it's all about her. Has this woman EVER expressed gratitude for all the freebies she and millions like her have received from U.S. citizens? Has she expressed any gratitude to the Founders that set up our system? Has she expressed any gratitude to the many people that fought in wars so we could continue to be a free people? I highly doubt it. But have someone talk about having reasonable controls on the millions that would like to pour into the U.S., and she is gonna be very vocal 'cause it's about HER. It's about HER "community". Every one else can go eff themselves.

I joined the ‘Latinos for Trump’ page on Facebook, even though I’m just a boring white chick.

They are AWESOME and post positive things about Trump non-stop, all day long. And they argue less among themselves than we do on FR, LOL!

Group of three Latino guys on sidewalk, one holding forth about how stupid it is to vote for Hillary. I caught him saying, “They say, ‘We’re going to eat your heart! We’re going to eat your children!’ And we’re not supposed to care?” I wanted to stick around and hear more. LOL

Latinos may be our secret weapon.

No, no, they were directly across the street from the Hillary headquarters. They were talking about the election, watching the mob forming to go watch the debate. It had nothing to do with Aztlan. I don’t even see how the two are related. They were talking about the jihadis.
