They do have a mind of their own. When I see them eating the bird food out of my bird feeders and yell, “Hey YOU!” They look at me, then continue eating.
I wonder what they would do if I stepped out the door!
If you were calm about it, they would sit there.
I had a small heard of 10 watch me paint the trim on the rear of my house one day. Hot day in August. Guess they were tired.
Walking around w/25’ ladder didn’t phase them.
