This is what caused the "deplorables" comment. She has to drive a wedge between black voters and Trump. She didn't earn their vote, so she can only scare them. What she was hoping for was to make republicans cower in fear of being called racist, and rush to denounce their own people, and their own candidate. She wanted everyone else, especially black people, to stay away from these deplorable people. That didn't happen. In fact, like a true Alt-Right operation, we just absorbed it and turned the tables on her.

The rally at the Southern Baptists in Kansas City is the most terrifying thing Hillary has ever seen. It isn't just another low attendance rally. This was a keynote address to the black leaders who go out and make sure their congregations get out and vote on election day. They denounce republicans on cue as being racist, sending them fleeing the battlefield. These would be the people who would counter Trump's overtures to the black churches.
And they aren't there.
The people in this audience may be true believers in Hillary, but if they look around, how many will stick their necks out and condemn Trump now? Fighting Trump now, going all in for Hillary now looks like a risky bet. They can't be leaders if drive away their followers.
So Hillary has lost the black "community organizers." She has to do it herself, and so now we get the "deplorables" speech.
