Looking at the media right now, I realize that Cruz would not have stood a chance.
Trump is surviving because he’s so unorthodox and has $$$ resources that enable him to be free in his decisions and plans.
The challenge is this, conservativism has failed miserably. We win a minor skirmish every now and then as we generally get steamrolled routinely. The GOPe has let Dear Leader and his communists do pretty much what they want with little effective pushback.
Trump is not my first pick, however he is our last best hope. With Mrs. Clinton or successor likely getting two terms our country will be unrecognizable in that time from what it is now.
Pray for guidance.

Here’s the way it works: decades of knuckle-busting work supporting conservatism means nothing, but a couple months of criticizing Trump mean everything. Brave new world.
It’s going on 9 months since Levin smeared Trump as and I quote “Nixonian.” We are 60 days from Hillary & her Constitution shredding SCOTUS. The sad fact is Levin’s daily anti-Trump tantrums are doing far more to suppress the vote for Trump than Romney & Bush COMBINED.
It is indeed a “Brave New World” when “Constitional Conservative” Mark Levin isn’t using his every breath to defeat Hillary Clinton.

That’s exactly right. Is isn’t about principle. If his audience had increased by 30% this year there is no way he’d be “supporting “ Trump. But it SHOULD BE about principle and about the fear of what a Hillary presidency will do to the country.
The one commonality I see on all the Levin threads that descend into chest-pounding is no one ever mentions what Levin actually is saying.
Eisenhower, Nixon, Ford and Reagan were all more conservative than the globalist bootlickers the Republicans have nominated since, with the singular exception of Trump. To use Rush’s words, the talkers have “defined conservatism down” to the point where huge numbers of conservatives think it means open borders globalism.
Levin and Limbaugh have done the conservative movement much harm by making Republican comfortable calling policies that are anything but conservative “conservative.”

I can’t imagine how open borders is even a conservative principle.
Conservatives have always held rational security in highest esteem, and there’s nothing secure in open borders.
If we are about preserving/conserving the tried, proven, valuable, and wholesome processes and ideas of human history, then there’s no way that open borders fits into that.
So who is “open borders?” Seriously. People like to toss the term around, but never back it up.
It’s like that at our State and local level where I live as well.
You can go into any city hall (and I go to many of them, as my occupation requires it), and see on the doors, the names of relatives of every politician (D and R). They work side by side.
I have seen them at functions and they are like peas in a pod.
The ONLY time they are against the other guy is when they are raising money from the rubes who actually think they stand for their constituency. They oppose each other with a *wink wink nod nod*.
Just look at Illinois gerrymandered districts and you will know what I mean.

Did Mark Levin spend months trashing and questioning the conservative credentials of Romney (father of Romneycare, etc.) in the run up to 2012? No. Does Mark Levin now trash traitor Romney on a daily basis? No.
Why is it too much to ask full throated support of Trump for 90 DAYS? Why is virtue signalling your moral superiority more important than defeating Hillary Criminal & her SCOTUS?

That’s a two way street...FR has been a great friend to Levin, and produced MUCH of the material he has used over the years and never gives credit for it.
