Rhode Island is the only state left that still recognizes VJ Day but as the last few WWII veterans leave us the holiday is getting less support. The hate America crowd would prefer to demonize this country for using the bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki but neglect to take into account the barbaric actions of the Japanese that forced these actions in the first place.
That crowd was around in the late '50s. One bunch went around the world, asking people if America was correct to use atom bombs on Japan.
When those who suffered Japanese occupation were asked, they responded, "Why did you drop only two?"
