I see Second Amendment people

Left doesn’t care about facts so the lie that Donald Trump urged “Second Amendment people” to whack Hillary Clinton is likely to stick around

Republican nominee Donald Trump is taking quite a pounding for encouraging gun rights supporters to get politically active against Democrat Hillary Clinton.

“Hillary wants to abolish, essentially abolish the Second Amendment,” Trump said at a Wilmington, N.C., rally Tuesday. “By the way, and if she gets to pick,” he said to boos, “if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks.” The anti-Hillary booing continued. “Although the Second Amendment people – maybe there is, I don’t know. But, but I’ll tell you what. That will be a horrible day.”

I have come to believe that Trump knows exactly what he's doing when he makes statements the left twists into a firestorm (he speaks elliptically for a reason). The very fact that Trump is still engaging in this technique to get free (earned) media tells us that he has convinced Manafort and Pence of the efficacy of it.

The principle behind "all press is good press" is that, in the end, people will have forgotten all the reasons Trump got free media. All they will know is that Trump got a YUUGE amount of media attention and they will have to decide on whom they trust more...Trump OR the media and its candidate, crooked Hillary.

Actually, every time the media attacks Trump, justifiably or not, they burnish his credentials as the anti-establishment candidate.

If Clinton is whacked, it will be by the Left to cover up her mental health problems and then make a martyr out of her - "Ban guns in memory of Hillary" (even if it was a bomb, poison, etc.)

It's the Communist Way. When I was a kid, right after WWII, I heard a Ukrainian guerilla talk about how he became disaffected with the Communists. His village was overrun by the Germans, so he took to the hills along with the local Communists to fight them.

The Germans screwed up and put a decent guy in charge of things, he wasn't ham-handed or went around executing people - he was just a good administrator. The villagers started to take a "live along get along" attitude.

The Communist leader of his group decided that that would not do, and had the guy killed. Sure enough, the new German guy was the stereotype and started executing people and the villagers responded by supporting the guerillas.

The Ukrainian said that's when it dawned on him that the Reds were not for the people, only for The Cause.

She probably won’t get to take your guns before 2019 because the House will still be Republican for her first two years and won’t let an enabling law get passed, but leftist states like Connecticut, New York, California and Maryland can and will, with Supreme Court blessing.

If you know a Democrat who likes his/her guns, make sure the Democrat knows what’s at stake at the state and federal legislative and executive levels.

She and her fellow travelers need to be stopped at the voting booths of the US in November.

When you’re running for President, you can’t say things that the press will use to hurt you.

If Trump says he likes motherhood, apple pie, and ice cream, the media will manufacture a negative story out of it.

It is not about what HE says.

By the way, in this particular speech, Trump was pretty incoherent. His brain was moving from thought to thought faster than his voice and the English language could spit them out.

Lower electric — lower electric bills, folks. Hillary wants to abolish — essentially abolish the Second Amendment. By the way, and if she gets to pick…

(CROWD BOOING) If she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is. I don’t know. But — but I’ll tell you what. That will be a horrible day. If — if Hillary gets to put her judges — right now, we’re tied. You see what’s going on.

XXX you see what’s going on? We tied because Scalia – this was not suppose to happen. Justice Scalia was going to be around for ten more years at least and this is what happens. That was a horrible thing.

So now look at it. So Hillary essentially wants to abolish the Second Amendment. Now, speaking to the NRA folks – who are great – when you – when you — and I’ll tell you, they endorsed me.

(APPLAUSE)

They endorsed me very early. My son’s a member. I’m a member.

If you – we can add I think the National Rifle Association, we can add the Second Amendment to the Justices – they almost go – in a certain way, hand in hand. Now the Justices are going to do things that are so important and we have such great Justices, you saw my list of 11 that have been vetted and respected.

(APPLAUSE)

And have gotten great. And they to a little equate – but if you don’t do the right thing, either you’re not going to have a Second Amendment or you’re not going to have much of it left. And you’re not going to be able to protect yourself, which you need.

You know, when the bad guys burst into your house, they’re not looking about into Second Amendments, and, do I have the right to do this? OK, the bad guys aren’t going to be giving up their weapons.

But the good people will say, “oh, well, that’s the law.” No, no, not going to happen, we can’t let it happen. We can’t let it happen.

(APPLAUSE)

Hillary Clinton wants to have totally open borders where people flow into our country.

Of course you can. Trump needs to keep being Trump. Not some namby pamby politically correct girly man. We already have plenty of those.

You would turn Trump into George W Bush, who became so scared of saying the wrong thing, he never responded at ALL to liberal attacks, for EIGHT YEARS, that spilled over into the Obama administration for another SEVEN YEARS!

NO THANK YOU.

Let Trump be Trump, he’s doing just fine, TYVM

He's running against the press. If he doesn't say anything, they'll make it up.

As Professor Stephen Cohen, History-Princeton, says, Trump speaks elliptically...he intentionally leaves off words and phrases at the end of his declarations.

His audience knows what he means and the press inserts their own meaning (which is ALWAYS anti-Trump).

He has slowed down his use of intentionally explosive statements, but this is still how he gets "earned media."

That fact that he is continuing to do this is evidence that his team must understand and approve. If they didn't, you can be sure Gingrich would mention it in the press (like he always does).

We will know if it works on November 8th.
