This is becoming Iran, Take 2
I called it.
NATO member. Sad day.
I’d be happy if we departed all muslim countries and cut off all trade from them too.
voluntary ? can’t the family leave anytime it wants ? why does the State Dept have to authorize it?
Authorized? No, their families should be free to leave whenever they wish. Our Terrorist in Chief and Congresscritters continue to twiddle their thumbs while our enemies dictate to us.
Turkey will simply seize all of the the NATO bases, then declare they are out of NATO.
Don’t worry, they aren’t hostages or anything.
total news blackout.
It might have to do with who pays for the ticket home.
Obama will move the Nukes to Iran for safe keeping
If you have an opinion that our Embassy is safe in this Islamic country, and your opinions are always correct, then why (Obama or Kerry) would our staff be in danger? Why would it be necessary to transfer them out of the country? Ask that question and watch their eyes melt.
Mine would have been out on my dime, regardless. Of course, mine wouldn't have been there in the first place.
What is the status of other American citizens in the country ?
If they do, they''l be obliterated by (chose one)
The Russian Army
The Armenian Army
The Iranian Army
The Greek Army
All of the above.
Turkey has never played well with it's neighbors and is hated by them.
Turkey needs NATO now, and NATO doesn't need Turkey anymore.

Plus household good return to the US as well ??
My niece was stationed there in the Air Force, and said she would not want to go back.
I don’t know but were I one of them, I’d be out of there pronto.
Yes, household good shipments play a role as well. Our family was overseas with the USAF and I can tell you the government tries every trick in the book to get out of paying for the return trip, even to the point of arguing that Vermont is closer to Japan than South Dakota!
Airplane tickets from overseas are ridiculously expensiveand if you have 3 or 4 people to transport the cost becomes prohibitive quickly. Many military families don’t have several thousand dollars available to spend at the drop of a hat.
