Did this guy see Bernie at all? It sounds like it was written before the convention. The few noises here get drowned out completely:

FrontPage used to be called Ramparts. Not exactly great journalism.
We can pretend that there isn’t Democrat unity all we want, but the fact remains that Bernie showed the sort of loyalty to process that Ted Cruz couldn’t muster.
I agree. Celebrating the death of the left is way too premature.
Bernie didn't join them as much as he was absorbed by them. I wouldn't bet against a "If you want to keep your senator's job you better fall in line" moment in Bernie's life. Surely, they could come up with something to make this guy go peacefully into that good night if they wanted to. Bernie's going to just reluctantly toe the line till the day he gets buried in the Potter's Field of forgotten Marxist wannabes.
I find it hilarious that the former Ramparts is printing Daniel Greenfield. I give them survival props for that.
And I don’t see this as a call that the Left is dead. The left will not die until a stake is driven through its heart, and long as the allure of socialism, nanny-statism/statism, and utopianism is alive, they will live. And those things aren’t going to die, because they are timeless. So anyone who proclaims the Left is dead is crazy.
Also, I don’t see this as being primarily about Democratic unity. There is no doubt the Left is composed of ideologues and Useful Idiots (The Useful Idiots and the Idiots making up about 2/3 of the Left, in my calculus) who can band together when they need to, even if they say they won’t. They like to think they are ideologically pure, but they aren’t. They are only ideologues drinking the kool-aid of the day, which is/was Bernie Sanders. They are, I think different from many of the NeverTrumpers, who may or may not be more or less ideologically pure, but are more stubborn.
In my opinion, this was more about what he alluded to in the last few paragraphs...the corruptness of the Leftist ideology, and at the end, it is just soggy signs and broken hearts. But they each get a vote, and most of them are going to vote ideology not a candidate.
LOL, we need someone to post the “Your Tears are Delicious” graphic, though!
