"Besides owning a shotgun an AR is the next best thing for a home defense."

Although I love and own the AR (I've got ones chambered in 5.56 and 7.62) I don't agree with this statement. Inside the confines of a home, I'd prefer a handgun with hollow points to a rifle. Especially if there are multiple family members in the home. An AR round will penetrate drywall like a knife going through butter.

You’re right. The article is absolute drivel. I watched m-16 rounds hundreds of yards out climb trees and rip off limbs at any number of angles. You wouldn’t think a round could go in a circular direction.
