Trump's kids right the convention ship
There’s been a lot of chatter about who’s not speaking at the GOP convention. Party loyalists have spent a lot of time wringing their hands over the fact that a lot of the establishment regulars have chosen to “sit this one out.” If last night taught us anything, it’s that they’re not needed. All you need is a candidate with a few smart kids
After a shaky first night, Donald Trump Jr. kicked the convention into high gear with an excellent address.

He was fantastic. I LIKE that guy. Wish his dad could speak like that. Hopefully Trump does a great job tomorrow night.
I heard a few minutes of the Steve Deace Hate-Fest in the car. DJT, Jr. was speaking.
This was remarkable: When DJT said that he and his siblings had the privilege of attending private schools, Deace and his flunkies started with comments like: “That’s because you’re RICH!” I.e., they reacted as though DJT had just DENIED he was rich.
When DJT stumbled and mentioned “pouring drywall” as a teenager—which he instantly corrected to “pouring concrete and putting up drywall”—Deace and his flunkies went into gales of laughter about “pouring drywall”—claiming this meant that DJT actually knows nothing about actual work, etc.
Deace continues to flaunt his mental and moral sickness! The hate is just amazing!
Gillibrand’s up for re-election in 2018. Just sayin’.
I laughed at his “spreading drywall” and his fast correction. All good speeches last night.
This was a great speech.
