Kalifornia is the result of locals giving up control to the federal governments of Mexico and the US.

If you are referring to the loss of state autonomy and independence, you are dead on. Long ago, the statist minded central government figured out they could bribe the states into submission. Just like an informant gets his semi-willing agent handler dirty by suggesting the two of them can split the dope or money seizure and get rich, the Feds for years have doled out taxpayer money to semi-willing state officials. Now they have the states in their back pocket, the states are being blackmailed on a daily basis and they will jump as high as the Feds ask them. This insidious bribing away of our Federal system of government to gain taxpayer dollars now cuts across all local governmental operations, education, immigration, environment, you name it. The states ability to regain their loss of control to a tyrannical central government is unlikely to occur peacefully.

The grievances the American colonies had in 1775 and that the Southern states had in 1861 pale in comparison to the tyranny of today’s Federal government. Federal encroachment on State and local jurisdiction has become so engrained because of interventionist courts, weak State governments, and a complete lack of Constitutional understanding by the vast majority of Americans. Eligible voters in 1775 were far more informed and better educated than today’s semi-literate buffoons who elected the Clintons and Obama.
