Per capita student spending is meaningless. I’d love hard numbers on how much is actually being spent on the classroom. Not retirement funds or benefits or even buildings, how much is actually going into the classroom.
Books, electricity and, gosh, what else? Teacher training days to use one of the 31 gender terms when speaking to students? How to identify unintentional bullying?
Have them try this: Cut per student funding in half. Hire 5 or 6 Carmelite Nuns to run each school giving them full authority on curriculum, policies and hiring of all other teachers. Allow one year and test for improvements. Any bets on results?
