I think they resent hypocrites. Many successful people are hypocrites - not all of them, but many.
You either do something people like and become successful, or you game the system to become/stay successful. In a lot of cases formerly decent successful people that were not unlikable, become weasels only interested in their wealth and preservation of it at all costs.
My point it, people will bring up things like the Cruz’s ties to GS, Heidi making a ton of money there, which by extension lends credence to their concerns (in their minds anyway). It may be a gross way to make a point, but it hits home pretty quickly.
“Reconciliation”? Ha. Cruz can back the victor any time. He chooses not to.

Trump does not claim to be cleaner than the wind driven snow. Cruz sells himself as a principled Conservative while they launder the crony money through his wife. It’s the DC way and sounds a lot like the Clintons.

Her 2013 promotion to managing director is listed on her Linked-In profile. I suppose it could be a coincidence that she was promoted shortly after hubby became a US Senator. I am a cynic and suspect that it is sort of like how Michelle was promoted shortly after Bath House Barry became a Senator, but that is just my supposition.
If she previously worked at the White House and NSC she’s no affirmative action hire like Michelle.
Perhaps not but the timing of her promotion is similar to MO.
